For tonight's SkepticOverview podcast I'll have another "Ask The Overlord" segment.

Just send your questions any one of these ways...

1) Post a question in this thread

2) Send me a U2U

3) Post an MP3 via our "special upload" option on the PODcast Page

I'll pick 4 or 5 of the most interesting questions and answer them in tonight's show.

Since i cant seem to send a podcast
, A couple of very helpful people here have been trying to help me out.
The problem: I have to finish what i start, (its a little problem which medication doesnt seem to help!:lol
its one of my quirks. These great people have moved heaven an earth for me in order to help me out. I mean all day long sessions

I tried "The idiots guide to podcasting", did that help? NO.

I tried Benevolent Heretic's step by step instructions..No.

You get the picture.

I/we, as a group, would like to get to the bottom of this- I dont know if this failure on my part can be attributed to early symptoms of Senile Dementia or not.

Moving on...I downloaded both Lame and Audacity. My problem seems to be opening Lame. The computer keeps saying "could not access this file"

Is there a guide for a "superdummy" or anything like that?

If i manage to send one thru, i think i will know it ahead of time, due to oncoming labor pains.

Disclaimer: This is not an attempt at attention.

I am so with dgtempe on this. My attempts at producing a podcast have had the result of a complete reformat and I know it's because I'm an absolute klutz. We need a 'Podcasting for Luddites' thread.

I'm a 'flashing 12'...still.

Are you a reptillian and is/was SimonGray a human who was transformed secretly in your laboratory into a gray to infiltrate their society?

Why is advertising online so different from Television advertising?

On TV we mainly get adds for detergent, new movies, and fast food.
While online most adds are for meeting singles, "fake clicks," and win a iPOD scams.

What do you think of the idea of podcast plays? Along the lines of a radio play. Perhaps as an extension of the collaborative fiction forum ?

Dear Mr Overlord Skeptic Man Advertising God Sir,

I am currently writing my CV to send to giant, uncaring media monoliths.

What sort of soppy, eye pleasing lines should I add to it? How does a Nerdling sell himself? Should I get a cape?

*goes back to mindless conglomerate phonebook surfing*

Which of these will happen first?

1) SO will admit that Dr. Love is his favorite poster.

2) Hell freezes over.

Peace

subservient, submissive, drone, at your every beck and call, willing to work long hours with little or no recognition, will work for food, complete lack of morals and individual integrity ... just a few that will definitely make you stand out like a sore thumb...er uhmm I mean shining star!

Good Luck and Best Wishes!

As for SO's request...

An update as to the status of the upcoming TV show!

I've been channel surfing for weeks in the hopes of catching a glimpse, yet to no avail. As it stands now I don't think my remote control will stand up to another application of Hobie wax.

Where do you see ATS in three years?

What changes to the board and the community, both positive and negative, do you forsee from the advent of the ATS TV show?

How is the AJAX interface idea progressing? Have you ever considered a wiki style approach to certain aspects of the site, such as the Research Forum?

From your standpoint as site admin, name the three most annoying thing that members do. What really cheeses you off?

Would you like me to have The Des "disappeared"? I can arrange such if required.

Skeptic Overlord, I've always wondered what you (and the others who put work into this operation that is ATS) get out of it. What needs does it fulfill for you? I'm sure it's a lot of work and there are frustrations that go along with running something this big, and I wonder what is the payoff for you?

I think you've answered your own question!
I'm pretty sure that if you do that Find Library thing, it will work.

What about VIDEOCasting? Ever gonna happen?

(Yes, some of you might actually have to get dressed and comb your hair.
)

What plans you have for ATS in the near future.

That's one thing I would like to know, Mr. S. O.Lord.

Ok here is my question:

I am traveling the I-5 as we speak and was wondering to get to the Hard Rock cafe, if I need to take exit 14 or 14a?

Thanks

No, no, no.... Past Exit 14...Keep going north of the San Andreas fault line, take a left at the mud slide, and a quick right at the brush fire. That should get you there.
