Oh .. and here's something else that will REALLY make ya feel
sorry for me. SPRINGER's signature says this -

You DO NOT need an I POD!!! Just click the mp3 file link

GEEZE! I don't even know what an mp3 file link is! HA ... and that is
supposed to be something that people learned BEFORE IPODs came
along and is easy? Oh man ...
I'm REEEEEEEEEEEALLY behind!

Well... at least I can figure out how to get into these chat rooms and
how to get onto the internet! I continue to limp along ... a reminder
to all you young'ns that you too will be ... uh ... 'older' ... someday.

For those who don't wish to podcast I seriously suggest you get involved with contributing to ATSNN. 250 a story plus points for replies. Its a good way to get your points up and at the same time contribute something great...
soo get hunting on those special news articles

but honestly podcasting is fun.....

Really... I am nothing special believe me, I just got "into" the internet back before the "world wide web" was discovered. I was a beta tester for netscape.

It's been easy to "keep up" since I've been around from the beginning. Good timing I guess.

An "mp3 file link" is easy to spot, it's in red, and it has .mp3 written in it. Go to the "PodCast" forum and click one of the red file names after the title of the podcast and listen away.

SPRINGER.

That is so cool. I too was on the web before WWW protocol. I used early 80's versions of BBS's anchored out of Ohio State University and directed to my home state of Wisconsin through.....errr....questionable programming methods!

Well, all the smart (faster really, but never mind) have said all the ways.

But starting a good thread that gets lots of replies, thats really the general method to get points, well apart from posting a ton.

I am 42 years old

Wow, I thought you were in your early to mid thirties. Wow.

I'm still telling yall you don't need a microphone, just a pair of headphones plugged into the mic jack.
Works fine, then just follow somebody's guide to podcasting, its quite easy once you do it once or twice

HA.
I'm not telling how old I am exactly. (us girls don't)
I have had a few major surguries so I feel much older
than my birth years indicate.

Actually, I look forward to death and always have.
It's just the body falling apart before we get there
that's a real bummer!

Ok first you get some real spring water (not that bottled crap) then you filter it twice (Brita pitcher). Make sure that you have run vinegar thru the coffeemaker twice and that it has had time to dry. Then you use two of the brown paper filters and put in 1/3 cup of Kenyan AA. Then...............

Really

I can't imainge how that will work? Does it have to be headphones? I have a pair if earplug type thingies that I use to listen to audio on the net...can those be used to.
If it's that easy, maybe a podcast IS in my future

A good cup of Joe starts with freshly roasted beans. And don't be grinding 'em until you're ready. Use a French Press or other such device that does not pull the water through hoses.

Once the coffee is sufficiently brewed, sit down, log on to ATS, and post away. Don't spill the coffee.

My niece has a bumper sticker that proclaims "friends do not let friends drink Starbucks." She really looks out for her friends.
