I notice some people have a crazy amount of points. I have never really cared as to how may I have until Ive notied mine are not going up very fast. Is there something I am missing?

I got the bulk of mine from ATSNN, which gives a lot more points than most forums. Participating in research projects and debates also gives a lot of points I think, and from time to time there are contests and such that can give a large amount of points to the winner.

Sometimes people win points in contests.
Other than that there are just the 'regular' ways.
The points system.

There are many different ways to accumulate points here at ATS.

1. Do laundry for SIMON GRAY or SKEPTIC OVERLORD
(a) Tell Springer you know how to make good coffee (see above)

2. Fix any or all computer virus related issues on kinglizard's computer.

3. Donate 50 gb/month bandwidth for file transfers.

4. Promise NOT to date the daughters of MODS (Thats how I got my points)

If all of these fail then try these ideas:

1. Be passionate and civil about a topic and post thoughtful responses every chance you get. (POST POST POST POST !!)

2. Learn the rules of posting so you don't LOSE points.

3. Offer a PODCAST from time to time.

4. Start meaningful threads, the more repsonses from people the better your stats look.

Just some thoughts. Good Luck to you.

Now the new money maker is PODcasts. Each podcast you upload to ATS earns you 2500 points...yes I said 2500 points.

Now stop, go find your microphone and jump into PODspace.

I have the problem of losing my temper and getting warned. Although Applauses seem to give you lots of points. How I got my ATS Points out of the Negative, now just need one for PTS. Also, how do I make a POD Cast? Special programs? Microphone? How I attach it to my pc?

And to think my guidance counsler said I wouldn't amount to anything but an ATS poster...hah..that'll show him!

I can be a non-poster as well!!

Oh you are as wise as your Avatar one man short. Bad coffee should be one of the seven deadly sins. As a matter of fact, the next waitress tht serves me a bad cup of joe and she is the one who made it, I am going to demand a percentage of her tips for the night for pain and suffering!

3. Offer a PODCAST from time to time.

Since I'm not computer 'savy' and have no idea what a podcast
is or how to 'offer' one ...

Since I'm not in a position to be able to learn how ...

Since I'm also age disadvantaged (a relic of the non-computer
age) as well as physically disadvantaged (post-monopausal
which means short term memory loss and inability to learn
complex mathematical and/or computer concepts) ...

Since my economic status does not allow me to purchase any
new computer equipment, or any other equipment that may
be needed to do this ....

I put forward that I am DISADVANTAGED and oppressed in a
computer oriented society.

I am entitled to a 500 point a month welfare donation to my
point account from the 'powers'.

How 'bout it Springer??

) Thanks!

I might even make it a chocolate!

(seriously, pity us oldsters who haven't got a clue
and can't figure out the new electronics and
computers and stuff. It all looks so great. You

Oh flyers fan, never have I read such a story that tugs at my heart strings so!

It is posters like you, that prove once and again, that ANYONE can pull themselves up by the bootstraps and make something of themselves in this cyber-world!

Where else but ATS could someone as disadvantaged as you rack up so many points as this:

ATS Points: 40688
BTS Points: 21043
PTS Points: 10833

So I say to you Flyer, carry on, persevere, be determined, be resolved, be stubborn, carry on, continue, endure, go on, hang in, hang on, hang tough, hold fast, hold on, hold out, keep at it, keep driving, keep going, keep on, maintain, persist, plug away, press on, proceed, pursue, remain, stand firm, stick to it and you will realize amazing things in life!
