Without giving details, a U.S. Marshals Service Spokesperson has reported that Charles Victor Thompson who escaped three days ago from Texas, has been captured in Louisiana.
HOUSTON - A death row inmate who slipped out of a Texas jail wearing street clothes was captured Sunday in Shreveport, La., the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Marianne Matus, a Marshals spokeswoman in Houston, confirmed convicted killer Charles Victor Thompson was in custody.

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

This should bring some relief to people. He was a convicted killer who could have killed again. He traveled across state lines and could have gone anywhere.

Wow. Some prison they got their when the prisoners can just walk out. Don't they have metal bars and walls for a reason or just for show?

What an idiot. Here's what CNN has.

Charles Victor Thompson, 35, was the subject of a 78-hour nationwide manhunt after he escaped Thursday from a jail in Houston. He was captured , apparently intoxicated, while using a pay phone outside the liquor store on Sunday.
