First Iraqi airliner for 25 years lands in Tehran

After 27 years and a huge war fought by both sides were now very good freinds and have signed so many contracts such as military cooperation/economical and even security issues throughout the regoin. The plane that the Iraqis were flying was definatley a boeing 737 and most likely we wont be going to Iraq after a while till they get their borders secured.

And we can all thank the Coalition and the new Iraqi government for such a change in Iran/Iraqi relations.

With the USA backed coalition bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq I can only imagine the new relationships Iraq will grow into prosperity for the Iraqi people.

And hopefully soon the coalition will be bringing the same democracy to Iran.

An encouraging bit of news. Considering how strongly linked iraq and iran had been before baathism, its almost a marvel to think that the two countries had so much trouble cooperating.

NR, is there ever talk amoung regular iranians abuot iraq and iran reuniting into a greater persia? Perhaps not serious talk, but I am curious if people think about that sort of thing.
