I think I understand what is being said in the picture. In alot of cases our troops are being portrayed as unfeeling monsters, here you have a picture showing the opposite. So much spin is being put on all the reports coming out of Iraq it is extremely difficult to feret out the truth. But this is very typical, I remember when I was in Viet Nam we would have to drive into Quin Nhon to pick up parts for our helicopters, I use to ride along as security. One of the basic things, aside from ammunition, were bags of candy and un wanted C-Rations, we use to pass this out at rest stops to the kids that would always show up, and it didnt matter if you stopped in the middle of no where, the kids would just teleport into the area!!!LOL I am assuming that there is som human interest stories going on right now that we will never hear of, we only here of the dead and dying, the violence and the tragedies. I bet no one knew that a medical unit in the Quin Nhon area was supporting a Vietnames leper colony run by French Nuns, it was also not unusual for Dust-Off, (Med Evac) helicopters to pick up VC and NVA, they got the same treatment as any wounded US Trooper. I myself watched Medics sweat over VC just as hard as over our own. The point is don't buy off the picture of the unfeeling, calous in human US troop, it aint true!!

*Cough*

Take a goood loook at that picture. It shows a small kid with a yellow plastic gun reaching up to a Us trooper and pointing that yellow plastic gun in the US soldiers face, pulling the trigger and him making the noises "Bang Bang, you're dead".

The hate that kids father and others around that kid have against US troops is going inrto those kids and that kid is showing the feelings and hatred that others around that kid have for the US troops.

Kids are easily influenced....Who's influencing that kid and is it a good influence or a bad one?

I bet you that guy is probably thinking "Get that damn thing out of my face or I'm gonna take out my real gun and blow your damn head off kid."

Nce seeing that familiar patch on the soldiers shoulder, it's the same one my old unit 1/13th has. Take particular note of the soldiers face, he's smiling, kid is playing, nothing is being threatened. I don't even know if that is a gun, but if it was a bad situation, the soldier would be frowning.

Wish you civ's would get the point accross here instead of talking about things you know nothing about.

Well what is the soldier going to say to the kid? "Get that # out of my #in face before I # you up kid."

??

The picture could be good or bad, depending on who's eyes are viewing it.
