It looks to me that politicians are masters at walking, talking, and acting a certain way, but no matter how well developed their minds are, they do not know what they are doing according to some ordinary persons' perspectives. That is because they do not know how to love the ordinary way. If they do not know how to love the ordinary way, they cannot solve problems in such a way that the ordinary person considers them solved. Why do we have them there, why not have experts up there?

I think it's because most higher-up politicians are from well-off families, and often own their own companies. At the very least, they are usually lawyers. Because of this, they are often sticking up for the more upper-class in society, and don't really give any priority to things that affect "ordinary people", as you put it. So they have a completely different outlook on things than most people in society.

Why do we have them there? Well... basically because other people that may do a better job can't afford the funds to campaign, probably.

The sad fact is leaders have for a long time been installed, with the sole purpose previously of masking their corporate moral neutrality with rhetoric, and to give out increasing corporate welfare. At first the Rockefellers gave us the income tax, and exempted the banks and themselves from taxes, and it was a tax mostly on the upper levels of income. Hence their competitive position at premium prices was enhanced tremendously. Incrementally taxes rose, while the worth of their exemptions escalated.

The whole problem is moral neutrality in the bottom line, and a increasingly dumbed down public. It is a wonder anything at all works in such a topheavy system.

Politians are drawn to power over others for selfish reasons. The people most drawn to power are the ones most easily corrupted by the power. The few that do it for helping others don't last long.

The narrow vision only allows information in that is of benefit to the person in question. This increasing entropic view basically makes them dumber and dumber. In the end, this will be their downfall. So yea, they are in no way "real" experts at anything except controlling others for their personal gain.
