Death is not a bad thing, its really a vacation from life. You are going to go on after you have died and probably be reborn into another life, somewhere. Maybe not on Earth but somewhere.

Sorry, i'll pass. Just let me live my 70 or 80 years and then i'll take a nice break from life before I come back.

seconded for the most part. death is inevitable and with good reason, but that does not mean we have to decay slowly while still alive (aging as we know it), does it? lifespan isn't that important either, it's more what you make of it, although i do believe that a cure, if there is any, would greatly extend it, just a side effect if you wish.

just for the record, i personally think the desire to live forever is mainly born out of fear and ignorance, as it would in all likelihood be a curse rather than a blessing.

Long Lance, do you think it was God's original plan for us as human beings to live forever? I think it was, but life was long at the time even past the fall, I think the shortening of man's life span, has to do with his processed food diet, as well, as the environment.

i don't know about God's original plan, all i can see is that 'living forever' (ie. until you die violently) is nowhere to be found in the animal kingdom, everything dies.

i agree that processed foods destroy us, but you have to admit that native cultures's life expectancy is lower than ours, by a wide margin...

Well, the diet has to do alot with us, dying at an earlier age, when we eat the animals we become like them, like the old adage saying, You are what you eat. i think the reason why man also has become so aggressive these days especially is the consumption of meat from animals. I think the ideal diet will be a diet of fish, and vegetables. i am not a vege as yet , but I have stopped eating meat , to a point I consumed it Once every 3mths.. but that's how the way is going, couple with stress, oxugen depletion from a high of 30% to 10% , you see where we are heading, the smog of the cities.....
