Amityville Horror Pic

I found a picture of the "Red Room". It's kind of small and can't really make much of it. It sounds like it has been determined to be some kind of plumbing access room, but still, why and who would ever paint it red? Still creepy.
I've never applied a picture here before, but I'll try and figure out how to do it, unless someone can help me out.

Most people use a free file uploader to display. To be quite honest, I don't know much about them. I actually use my own comcast web space usually so it doesn't get deleted later unless I decide to remove it. Or I use the link where I found it.

maybe like www.imageshack.us... or something, but I'd ask other members, I don't know much about it.

It seems to me that a year or so ago, the oldest son of Mr and Mrs Lutz had a falling out with them and went public to say that nothing ever happened in the house and that it was all lies for the family to make money. He could also be the one telling lies that nothing happened, in order to tell a different side of the story and profit himself. Does anyone have any information on this?

It actually wasn't the oldest son Daniel, it was the other son Christopher who left home at 16.

He changed his name to Christopher Quaratino.

Thank you for the article. He is saying yes it did happen but was exaggerated. I agree with him that this all could have been brought on by Mr. Lutz. Sounds like his actions opened the door to the spirit world and for the series of events that happened there. Apparently he didn't realize what he was getting himself in to. As for the photo.....im not an expert but it looks real to me too and I agree with you all....it's pretty spooky.

I can't help but think that maybe the pic is not of a ghost, but just a photograph that was taken by one of the DeFeo family members prior to the horrible events that occured in the house. I know that the general consensus is that the picture was taken by the Warrens, but I can't help but wonder why the Warrens don't put this picture up on their website.

I would think that if you are trying to get people to attend your lectures, you need to have something available for free, or easily accessible, to draw the people in, and this photo would certainly do it. Which leads me to believe that perhaps the warrens did not take this photo.

Of course still looking into it and by belief may shift.

There is NO Amityville "horror" the only "horror" is that people, fell for Lutz's BS.

One of the things George Lutz loved to spew from his a**, was that the Defeo's were plagued by Ronald Defeo because he was possessed!
The Defeo's were not plagued by a possessed son....no a mentally unstable son,after insurance money.

using arcsoft photoimpression the boy in the image is clearly part of the actual photo. the eyes how ever have been painted because they come up as two perfect little squares.

not a hoax... but i doubt its a ghosty.

It's sort of sad how some people will tell lies just to make money. I feel the truth should be available to everyone. Maybe then, the community would not have to deal with so many tourists...

Well my friend with alot on my plate outside of ats these days I have been very busy.also I think me and derek could say we have become somewhat case burnt.There is so much one can take at one time.

I am now back on the case and am doing alot of research.Although reading your post kinda kick started my interest again,Thanks for the support kuhl!

Currently I am putting together a history behind the native tribe/tribes in that area and the massacre that happened.Aswell the land of suffolk county aswell as all of long island was unfairly exchanged(in some minds,Dont jump down my throat)between the settlers and the natives I will be providing a map aswell showing the locations of the Exorcism house and the Amityville house. There seems to be alot of stagnant energy in the area.In my teachings when it comes to the spirits of those who were close to the earth and lived with it not beside it so to speak,they can be pretty pissed off,when dealing with those who pretty much destroyed their exsistence.I know this might be controversial for some people but then again this whole thread is kind of controversial.

Any new findings on the whole picture thing.

I am really interested in this but have recently come up blank on research.

I must admit I am really slacking in this department.Now if you are referring
to the original picture in question.I have not done any further research into it but shall do so in time.I have recently been trying to shift my basis of operation to my own house>Which has been a success.But with many things on my plate right now I have yet to even further my digrams of long island and the research into the area of suffolk county.

I will be staying with this thread but,when it comes to my research projects I have many on the go at a time. I am still working on different aspects of this case but the pic? I need more time.

Expect something in the near future from me atleast.

Maybe we could start a group project, on the whole Amityville issue, pool are resources so to speak. I for one would be more then willing to help anyway i can. Maybe we could get that such sought after title for it.
