Greatest games...well...

There aren't many games that strike me as amazing but there was one game that blew me away.

Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, it was made in 1990 by Konami, This was the ONLY official sequal to Metal Gear from 1987 (the original Metal Gear was for the MSX, a Commadore type computer).

The game was way ahead of it's time, the graphics were the best ever made for a 8bit computer, the music is engraved in my memory.

Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and 3 are great games as well, not quite as mind blowing but pretty damn close, i'm looking forward to 4.

the other games that were memorable were:

Doom 2, the first PC game I played.
C&C, great game, this really stuck with me as well, made me a RTS addict.
Quake, first game I started to mod, just a very memorable game, even played it on an inferior system. 66mhz, 8mb lol
Total Annihilation, a game I still frequently play, or rather a 3D incarnation of the original game, it's called TA Spring, but the original is very memorable, esspecially the days of modding and unit creation.

Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City were great games too, very fun and it just felt naughty playing it...it's fun...

Hm, tough choice, but I'd have to say something along the lines of...

Lanstalker (Genesis)
Shining Force I and II (Genesis)
Final Fantasy II/IV (SNES)
Final Fantasy VII (PS1)
Star Craft (PC)
Half Life 2 (PC)

1) Half Life 2 (PC)
2) Halo 2 (XBOX)
3) Fallout 1
4) Fallout 2
5) Fallout tactics

Im a really big fan of first person shooters and its a close matchup for 1st with HL2 and Halo2, the online experience of Halo competes with the HL2 game engine and originality.

As for the last 3, Fallout is a 3rd person shooter RPG, ive dumped probably over 300 hours into this game series and if youve never played it, pick it up!

Im also looking forward to Half life 2 for xbox (my pc couldnt really handle the graphics) and Battlefield 2 which came out today!
