the guitar solo in the live version of Starseed by Our Lady Peace is pretty sweet too....
and even though its not really a solo... the bridge in Not Enough by Our Lady Peace is pretty damn heavy too especially live

Here's another one I thought of, and I can't believe it wasn't the first one that came to mind.

Everyone who thinks Eddie van Halen or Slash or any of those other contemporary speed players are the ultimate needs to give a listen to Alvin Lee of 10 Years After. Snag a version of "I'm Goin' Home" and you'll see what the current crop owes to him. Just incredible.

It's on the Woodstock album as well as the "Undead" album. I saw 10 years After live in concert (actually, my first concert) in '71. Damn, they were good.

With the extra wide neck, thicker strings,left handed tremolo and the way he tunes it up,theres nothing ordinary about Stevie Ray Vaughan.

well if your gonna throw that one in... you gotta throw in "sorrow" off momentary lapse of reason too! terminal frost has some good guitar on it too, but its really the horns that shine on that song.
