Still having U2U problems :/

Am I the only one having u2u problems? Whenever I go to open any of my u2u's, old or new, i get this error - ERROR: illegal command

William and NC already know about it but so far haven't been able to fix it .. or haven't tried .. j/k

Is anyone else having problems?

What operating system and browser are you using??

Yeah.

But mine are of the nature of a hunger strike. Once, I could send and retrieve U2Us freely. Then, coincidentally after a TCA{WyTX} spamming incident, a limitation was placed on both U2U flooding capability and on individual users' quotas.

I have added 100 to my quota, but 250 points for extra storage of 100 messages didn't grab me hard enough, so I am waiting for all my old U2Us to die off through natural attrition, not deleting any of them (at least there are under 900 now) and becoming less popular as an ATS socialite because I don't respond to U2Us.

This is a useless statement of principles on my part. But it remains as a statement.

What you are going through MUA, others have gone through before. It ends up fixing itself without active intervention somehow.

Hey - maybe this thread can be a public U2U box for distressed U2U-less people.

Hey MA,

Delete the u2u's in your outbox, they count toward your total and may free up enough that you can become a socialite once again.

Thanks, sound advice, but part of my one-person unheeded protest movement is to not engage myself in the physical activity necessary to accomplish that simple task, as I was not responsible for the facility being used by other members sending me nice, friendly, topical U2Us that I responded to in the first place.

The principles are deep-seated in the upholding of truth, justice and the American way. Or not.

'cause being lazy is as American as apple pie, watery beer and potholes. one of the things that made this land great!

I commend your nobility kind sir... May your travels lead you to ATS U2U truth euphoria.

Ok click on Tools, then Internet Options. Click on the privacy tab and set it to medium.

Click on the Advanced Tab and Click the button that says Restore Defaults.


Ok Now click the General tab and click the Delete Cookies button, then click the Delete files button, (Be sure to check remove all offline content), and finally click clear history.

Now click the bottom button that says apply.

Close IE and then restart it. (you'll have to login again but it may fix your problem.)

As for editing your post, look and see if you have and edit option and just remove your info please... I do not moderate this forum so I can't change your post.

I tried to u2u this to you but of course with the problem, I couldn't, so I''m letting you know here ...

I discovered how to fix this, but I have to do it each time. I have to change the u-to-u.php on the url to u2u.php ... then it seems to work.

Bad programmer!

Further to this, I would like to point out that I find it so odd that I am the only one with this problem! In light of the conversation we had earlier today, it makes me wonder if I'm not being allowed to send u2u's rather than being unable to. The sad part is, was I able to u2u you about this, I would not have had to bring this out in public like this.

I began to become a little curious when I realized that this can't be a problem due to the hack last night because my u2u's were fine this morning.

Then again, I could just be a paranoid ATS'r!

Please fix it

The u2u.php is a not-yet-public version of the U2U function that I've been working on.
