wooooooo i finally got it, its great
it takes a while to get use to the space fighting but good when you do
jedi fighting is ok nothing to brag about though
it does seem to lose some of its orignals 'spice' but still a great buy

Could you please expand on your comments?

My wife and I play the original against each other alot and love it.

ok new stuff is you can play as a jedi; good points' chop people up
bad points' only one attack button
space you can now go into space and either attack from the outside or go in and blow it up from there which is very hard compared to outside good points, its space baby whole new fights, loads of new ships
bad points controls are a little lacking
new galatic conquest this time its like chess and you move your ships toward theirs and their planets
quite a few new characters and levels but nothing major
anything else?

ps still recon you should get it if you liked the first

Ok, I have obtained my copy of this game and have been playing solidly on my days off from work.

Very cool.

I like it better then the first one.

The detail in the maps is fantastic, I got killed more then a few times on some maps because I literaly stopped to gawk at something cool in the map.

We got Death Star!

This map, features:

It has the detention area, the trash compactor, the death star weapon chamber, the Imperial command room, Landing bays, the walkways with the cool blast doors where Darth Vader and Ben Kenobi had there final duel.

To get new weapons you have to earn medals etc like Battle Field.

Very cool, lots of play modes, like:

Conquest.
Assault.
Capture the Flag (1 Flag)
Capture the Flag (2 Flags)
Hunt


Hoth is another good example of the good details they have gone into.

Every Hoth set in the film has a scene location in the game.

The hunt option on Hoth is hilarious.

It uses a capture the flag map and pits Rebels Vs Wampas.

You have fifteen or more raging Wampas storm your fortifications killing Rebels left right and centre.

Kamino is my favourite map.

It has great views and you can snipe your enemy from a great distance.

There are heaps of fantastic maps. The space maps are very hard to adjust to initially but even this has many nice touches..

That game is amazing. It took me about 5 hours to beat the regular story mode. I too was a little dissappointed with the jedi. I remember this one game for xbox, called obi wan, you actually controlled the light saber. You did whatever you wanted. I liked some of the force powers, like darth vaders choke and throwing the light saber. The space battles were epic. Craziness, I mean, its just so fun flying in booster toward the enemy ship while being attacked by turrets, tie fighters. Very fun. Good music too.

in my oppinion 100 times better than the orginal with a better in depth storyline

aiight what ya do go to there hanger with your transporter ship

then once ya get out get into there ships and turn them around to face the wall it's a crack up they all hope in and fly into the wall and crash lol

it's really worth a try ^^

i was disappointed that it did'nt have platforms that one ruled

also how many of you have tryed mos eisley assualt? when you get to be evil or good it's kick

who's you favourite army? i prefer the droids with the droidikas they're quality

Does it stand up to the FPS Star wars games? This is 3rd person over the shoulder right?

It's 3rd person, but you can switch to first person in the options menu.
It's a fun game for multiplayer.
Playing it on Xbox Live or System Link or just with a couple friends is lots of fun.
