Why communications between terrorists haven't been connected, page 1

BBC says that the FBI has all these crypto experts, super computers and the like, waiting to pounce on encrypted email ... but apparently terrorists are using normal email.

"The hijackers used their own names, public web terminals, frequent flier identifiers, and unencrypted e-mail messages to keep in touch."
