Stupid is as stupid does

Topic started on 13-10-2005 @ 09:52 AM by NWguy83

In April 2005, L-3 Communicatons subsidiary Interstate Electronics Corp. in Anaheim, CA was placed under criminal investigation for providing faulty parts to the CSEL search and rescue GPS/ beacon/ communicators used by US aviators, special forces teams, et. al. - and concealing test failures.

So, naturally, they've just been awarded a contract to support the test instrumentation hardware for most of America's nuclear missile fleet, and all of Britain's.

Entire article

Wow, I knew there were stupid people in the Pentagon but the person would decided to award this contract probably doesn't even know how to tie their shoes.

Just a personal guess, but I think the person who awarded the contract probably knew exactly what they were doing...they were awarding the contract to the guys that gave the most to them or their friends or their boss or their chosen political party or....well, you get the idea.

maybe the contract was awarded by a secret pacifist, so that many of the atomic missles would never actually detonate, saving untold millions of lives.

Or maybe they were the best qualified industry to fill the contract, regardless.

Yes the best, by sucking the most, strange. Like FuneralGate doing the body count in NOLA... They are the best, at sucking...

FuneralGate checked 23,000 houses then said they were done. There are about another 200-300 thousand homes to check, but FuneralGate only checked about what, a tenth of the houses to get the 1,000 body count? Hey, 1,000 after a tenth of the houses were checked, so you do the math, 10,000 bodies!!!!!

Wait for the Bushbots... "God chose FuneralGate so they must be holy! Worship!!!!!"

I'm not going to mention any names, but here in the UK our forces have just started using a radio system that works with Windows 2000.

To get the program working properly, the boffins at the MOD R & D have managed to disable the Window security programes and have substituted them with secure codes for the radio system.

Guess what? Now nothing works properly and will cost hundreds of thousands of £'s to fix.

If it aint broke - DON'T TRY TO FIX IT!
