I find that very interesting as I have little knowledge on this subject. Perhaps you can point me in a direction where I can look this stuff up to do some light reading? You have an interesting pov.

Sorry, I don't know any particular resource, where you can get some information on subject. I live in Russia, so I'm used to know what happens in different parts of my motherland.

Some updates:

Ninety-one militants eliminated in Nalchik

NALCHIK. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Ninety-one militants have been eliminated during a special operation in Nalchik, according to recent reports from Kabardino-Balkarian law enforcement agencies.

"We continue to revise the number of eliminated militants. which currently stands at 91. Another 36 militants have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the attack. Charges have already been presented to nine of them," Kabardino-Balkarian Interior Minister Khachim Shogenov told Interfax on Friday.

Russia to keep up pressure on terrorists - Putin

MOSCOW. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Russia will not relax its efforts to clamp down on terrorists, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in the wake of the attack on Nalchik.

"It's a bad thing that raids like this are still possible," he said. "It is tragic that we should lose police and civilian lives," he said.

"All of the victims and their families should receive help," Putin said.

"We'll discuss that at a meeting with members of the Security Council," he said.
