this problem is so annoying...

the problem is that this program called "winfixer" appears (literally) on my desktop daily, even when i uninstall it...

it keeps showing up on my computer...

i think it installs itself...

a pop-up comes up and it installs itself...

then, the stupid thing does random checks on my computer and an annoying message comes up...

any help that might get rid of this program once and for all would be great...

thanks...

I just searched for winfixer, and it's spyware. Try a spyware zapping program and see if that works. I recommend spywaredoctor, or McAfee's antispyware. Good luck!

I would restore my computer to an earlier date, try to find when it started coming up, restore back to before it.

I had that thing on mine for a while. It was a real pain. Microsoft has a nice removal program. Also, find a trojan removal to. alot of spyware removal tools do nothing about the memory resident torjans. You need to eliminate the problem, then clean up the symptons...
