Spy Rocks!!!!

Saw this and had to share.

My guess is they've already got 'em

I wonder how far it picks up a voice.

Sounds similiar to motes or smart dust, but much larger.

They probably already have the capability to drop nanomitters from a B-2 and canvas acreas for surveillance. Hey what's them metallic dots on my porch.

Yeah, makes the rocks seem a little obsolete, but with the "camo" of a larger rock one could easily increase the battery size and time length of operation.

Also there's the pros and cons of laser vs rf communication.
Although rf is easier to detect, it doesn't nescessarily have to land "right side up" from a uav dropoff which, imho, would be much more user friendly and the most likely method of deployment in a battlefield scenerio.
