The Iran-Iraq War, militarily, was a perfect example of the deadly power of a modern military, especially fighting another one. Thus, it also highlighted why attrition warfare is not an efficient manner in which to utilize modern military forces.

On a more somber standpoint, the Iran-Iraq War was also highlighted the futility and absolute terror of war.

May they all rest in peace.

Nice video. Any english translation of what they're saying? Just out of curiosity.

Is it just me or that tank was not watching his flanks very well? It took them a long time to burninate it, 3 or 4 missed rockets shot his way, and the tank just continued without paying attention. Or maybe the tank was swarmed and simply tried to escape in panic. It's hard to tell, some times short video clips don't tell the whole story.

Either they caught the tanks in a firefight and they tried to disengage, or that was staged to some degree. Armor units shouldnt be that incompetent in situational awareness.

the other tank they abandoned it, either too damage to continue or out of gas. in anicase u saw how they waste alot of bullets to hit the tank crew and non of them went down. but thats how conventional warfare is like wen u see that war.

Bit shakey but very funny.

Goes to show that firing at fleeting targets on full auto, only converts live rounds to empty cases!

Two things I took from that:

The Iraq'i Tank tactics were like the worst ever.

The Iranian infantrymen are not very good shots with thier assult rilfes. Those tanker ran what 100 yards and were not hit??? But they did seem to be jogging when I would have run flat out......

Dont overestimate the accuracy of troops in the field over 100 meters, any longer and your lucky if they hit anything. Thats why rifles arent as effective as they should be with their range.

I could see the tank was a bullet magnet and was being shot at by RPGs, but I dont understand why they bailed out...
