The goal of islamic fundamentalists is to make a gigantic muslim nation super power. If the U.S. left, it would likely be quickly formed. The U.S.
doesn't want that as it too would lead to more problems.

hmmm I disagree. They already have a big powerful state, Saudi Arabia. If US stops supporting them, there might be a revolution to overthrow the
money hungry ruling elite.
As for islamic revolution, if the people there want to live acording to the morals of Islam, they should, its their decision. The rest of the world
should accept it and move on.

No, there would be no peace, and the Muslim world would degenerate. But that isnt my concern.
Pulling out of the middle east and cutting off ties there would simply be the smartest thing we could do. Its in the best interests of the US to do
so. Allowing clean renewable energy to blossom will cut off our need for foreign oil and energy, and give them less a stick to hold over our heads.
the west would also benefit.
But unfortunately, until the Muslim get out of the superstitous dark ages and shed the heavy religious non sense, they will be forever dependant on
western tech and money. They could join the 21st century. But religious superstition ande extremism holds them back.
Once we get rid of religious extremism from jews, Christians, and Muslim, then perhaps, peace can be achieved.
