Remote-Control Rats!

I have just read that experiments are being done on rats in order to turn them into remote-control drones. They woiuld be used to sniff out bombs and could recover bodies in accidents as they are small and could fit into small spaces.
They control the rats by attatching electrodes to the parts of the brain which control movement and zap them with little pulses to make them go which direction they want.

This is extremely cool, and also rather creepy. It's also an old story. I read about a similar experiment about 3 years ago, where the scientists could remote control rats to do almost anything short of suicide. Makes you wonder if this tech could be modified to work on people... ugh.
