Needless to say, I'm a DDR freak. Anyone else play here? I'm a decent level-8 player with a few catas (level-9). Hardest song I've completed in the arcade was "Be Lovin" by D-Crew on DDR Exteme (heavy difficulty) and "ROMeo and Juli-8" by Nina on the In the Groove 2 system (challenge difficulty).

I am waiting for Konami to release the American home version of the music generation game Beatmania. (There are NO IIDX or even decent Beatmania arcade games around here.) Beatmania for PS2 is going to be absolutely wild! I'm probably going to buy two controller for 14 key mode. (Fourteen keys and two turntables.)

Beatmania - Keepin' Evolution...(TM)

I saw another shirt that had, in white, on the front, the giant words "DDR POLICE" and on the back it had a guy with an Afro doing a SNF thing on a DDR pad, with a giant "NO" symbol across it.

I really just need a pic of that.

Really though... it should be "Don't play the same song 3 times in a row." Espicially since it's generally Graduation, We Are the Champions, or We Will Rock You on a DDR Extreme system.

(Note: I'm not sure if bumping or posting one comment then another comment is OK on this forum or not - I checked the faq and it seems to vary on other forums.)

IGN now has Beatmania Trailers.

I'm planning on getting the US bundle and a second controller so I can play Light14 (14 keys, two turntables.) Some folks in Japan got these limited arcade-grade controllers that were around $450 each. The baseline Konami controller is $90 before shipping from somewhere in the Pacific Rim.

I've seen some people playing with seemingly supernatural hand-eye coordination, espicially when they're playing any 14-key mode.

I have DDR Ultra Mix for the xbox and game pad! Love it, Castle in the Sky, Burning Rave, and Drop the Bomb are my fav songs, got AA's on Hard difficulty level. Friends make fun of me for it, of course, most of them are white and act like they are black, except for one, but she a girl so she doesn't count.(Love doing that, 'But you're a girl, you can't drive, you're a girl, she hates that)

Oh crap. I just lost my entire freakin' post.

Anyways, you ever think about getting a hard pad? You might eventually want something like an Ignition Pad, those are about $100. A heavy-level player can wear out the original pad in a few months.

Oh, and of course- Beatmania IIDX12: Happy Sky
