Update on the overall recovery situation, here.

I haven't seen much of a change. We still don't seem to have a plan. Hurricane season is fast approaching and it still seems we haven't done very much. Doesn't seem like we're very far from where we were right after they reopened Orleans Parish.

I know that's not a very detailed report, but that's about all I've got to say.

I'll answer any questions if I can.

The recovery from Katrina is going to take years, maybe even decades for locations down there to overcome. The economical effects won't even be started to be crunched for years to come. Insurance wise, this storm was worse than Andrew.

What I fear is that what people will find after they start going back into these very secluded places. I think what will happen is when they start going back, they will find more bodies. It would not surprise me because of the lack of time people had checking the affected areas.

BTW----

The picture that I posted on the first page really gives a new meaning to Operation Lifesaver.
