I know about these cars,

They go an average of 80km/h (one I looked at)
The tanks are made with Kevlar coating to apparently limit the possibility of explosion during an accident.
You can plug it into your home power socket and recharge it overnight with the in-built compressor. - costs roughly $2 to fill
One BIG downer is they aren't very flattering both in looks, performance OR sound - these cars sound HORRIBLE, just bad - like an old lawn mower thudding away.

Good concept but needs more work, until then theres a thread in the science section (no link as Im too lazy to sift through) I started a while ago to do with Hydrogen extraction from water as a combustible.

Just a thought in regards to the pressurised tank explosion "issue". Car's have
been running on LPG for sometime and that's in a pressurised tank. I don't hear about many cars who's LPG tanks have exploded in collisions (although i'm sure someone's managed to do it). I would imagine that existing tech. could be easily and safely adapted for this use.
