The latest problems with U.S. refineries due to the hurricanes seem to me to be more of a heating oil problem than a gasoline problem (despite the press attention on gas prices). There is plenty of unleaded gasoline already produced and stored. Right now the refineries should be producing heating oil for the winter, not gasoline. If the northeast and midwest have a bad winter we could be in for major problems I think...

Thoughts?

Because is still hot and a few months away from winter, you will not get much attention on this subject.

But wait until the cold weather starts sinking in and you will hear plenty of complain when the prices go up or the heating oil is not enough to heat the winter months if this winter happens to be a lengthy.

You should keep this thread on stand by for the future.

I have been following the prices on the gas and the problems with Rita and the diesel and heating oil, and already the warnings on the availability and cost has been sent out.
