Secret city beneath Tokyo

<<  1    2  >>

Topic started on 8-9-2003 @ 01:21 AM by quaneeri

There is a story of a secret city and a network of tunnels running beneath Tokyo.

Shun Akiba, a former high-level foreign reporter, has identified hundreds of kilometers of Tokyo tunnels whose purpose is unknown and whose very existence is denied.

That was really awesome. I loved reading that article. I believe that there has to be something, in a country as small as Japan, they have to put the secret government such and such SOMEWHERE. So, underground in Tokyo doesn't seem too unlikely. You get some mad ups.

Great find.

I found a web-site once that was devoted to people exploring areas that were off limits to the public. Old underground passeges, abandoned underground tunnels, etc. It was interesting, had lots of photos, and contributions from around the world.

Just read the article. Its very interesting. I'm sure the Japanese government has lots of tunnels running to places under the city that they don't wont people to know about, but the idea of a subterranean city is interesting. Reminds me of mount weather.

I always wanted to have my own little underground pad.

Personally, I think it's a smart move.

that's absolutely facinating! I wonder if there's any plans for an English translation of his book? I'd be first in line for that.

I did read the article.

I was the one who posted it.

I was asking if anyone had any additional information to add to it.

Perhaps earthtone was saying that "I've just read the article." You know how the different tenses of read can get confusing.
