FF6 vs. FF7

Alright kiddies, after reading through the Final Fantasy 7 threads and reading all of the petty arguments that popped up, it is time to dig in and throw down. Which one deserves to be on top?

For me, it would be Final Fantasy 7. I felt that the story line was the strongest in the series; and the characters, although very different, and from very different backgrounds, came together so well. The side quests, and background quests were just intriguing. I also fell in love with the cutsenes. Also, the level up and Materia systems. It was just the best game in the series, imo.
