So we seem to be split between those who believe you can choose, and those who think you cannot...ya?

This is intriguing, to be sure; if choice is an option, I'm wondering why so many of us keep making mistakes. What if we have lived several rotten lives, but choose not to reincarnate? What happens?

Moreover, in the bigger picture, what exactly is it that we're "meant" to learn?

The problem is not the reincarnation itself we get to chose when and in what time to comeback but we most do it until we achieve the state of learning that will make us become the spiritual guides or in Christianity the guardian angels of the incarnated.

Earth is the hardest place to incarnate due to the challenges and bindings of the human body and its brain, most people forget their prior incarnations while in the human body.

I'll give you a vote... but I dont know how. Can tell me how I would go about doing so?
You may get a ton more votes if you link us newbs in the right direction.

The elections haven't officially started yet but when they do the candidates will have some time to campaign and then an election will be held. Trust me, you'll hear all about it once its underway.

Love and light,

Hey tinkleflower,

these are quandries, as noone kows for certain, that we are even reincarnated.
But take my past life experiences, I think my lesson is that I must act on what I believe and speak up for what I believe is right, after all after I had witnessed the execution of my friend, I was overwhelmed by a sense of guilt, because I felt if I had stated what I knew, her death would've been prevented. In this life as well that is one issue I have started overcoming.

The second lesson is that maybe I should be alot more careful of who I trust, that the reason I died was because I did not watch my back, that I was easily deceived, and because of this, that life came to a halt, and here I am again. I think if you recall your past lives, you can take what happened, and maybe try to learn from it. Although history does repeat itself.

PS I REALLY Like This Thread

denial28 is right, no one knows with absolute certainty. It would take a bit of the adventure out of it if you did.

Many people who have NDE's have said they were traveling down a tunnel towards a light. I've often wondered if the tunnel wasn't the birth canal of their new mother and the light at the end was the next life they were being born into.

I love the mysteries of life. They keep me entertained

Sorry to re-hash anything that's already been said - but I came to this thread a little late.
First up it's lovely to here people sharing their experiences of connectedness with other times and situations, it makes me feel almost normal.
Secondly there is actually a huge body of evidence to prove the existence of rencarnation with many instances that have been very well documented - and even a case I recall where a woman searched for and found the children that were born to her in a previous life.
If you checkout what the Tibetans have to say on the subject, the average "time-out" is about 50 years. Don't know how they figure that, but it's what they reackon. Obviously if you have a pressing need to get back sooner you will.
Some people with excessive earthly attachments can't seem to let go when they die, probably some kind of denial, so they hang around sometimes for as long as it takes for some body to give them a helping hand.
I have heard said that not only do people choose how and when they come back, but they very often "travel" for generations with a group of people, family and friends who tend to stick together - a little like a clan.
So your Grandmother in one life could be your son in another - and so on.
Virtually all memory of former events is lost at a conscious level when you take on a new physical existence, but emotional scars can remain in your deep subconscious - and these can cause persistent problems, life after life unless they are addressed.
There is absolutely masses of info on the subject when you look into it. All very fascinating.

Wouldn't that mean that they are technically already alive again? So people who have NDE's and come back to this life have to die again in that new life before it even begins, and then snap back to this one. That's kind of harsh... everyone who has an NDE is a miscarriage? It's a good theory though. It would be interesting to see if there is any correlation between the number of people who have NDE's each year, and the number of babies that die at birth. I made a quick search but I can't find a number.

I am very intruiged by this topic, and i am compelled to actually post here. Of course, i am new to this, but bear with me till i am "broken in" so to speak

I do beleive in past lives, reincarnation, and whatnot.

Several points made here reinforce this, and have led me to the ultimate decision (thanks ladies/gentlemen), that i want to have a regression. Although i do wish for a good friend close so that it is authentic and not a "suggestive" session.

I too feel a very strong feeling towards a certain time period, the middle ages. I am enamoured with swordplay, i am an avid sword collector, and i gobble up anything related to it. I am half irish, and i have the unexplicable draw to castles, armor, and medievil romance, nobility, and honor. I am a very calm person by nature, and have an almost overbearing respect for others, even so to the point that i will walk away after getting punched in the face (it's happened). I love the sound of bagpipes and celtic music, although i do not actively listen to it. I would very much like to research my bloodline, and my families history.

I too have very strange dreams, some which are just unexplainable. I can picture them, but putting them into words are just not possible. It's like watching images and scenes mold into a story with no plot, or even a straight forward sense of reason.

Several years ago, when i was in highschool, late in the summer, i began to have a re-occuring dream. while at the time i didn't make much of it, it went on for 3 months. --plz don't laugh. I dreamt of wandering through the woods disoriented, looking around, stumbling, and looking down at the snow on the ground. Later that fall, after the first few snowfalls, i was out in the woods behind our neighbors house with the local kids while they were riding snowmobiles. One decided to make their own trail, and got stuck. I grabbed the bar on the back, picked it up, and moved it to the side, and they took off with me still hangin on. while this was fun for a bit, i yelled out that i was gonna let go, as i could hear the other sled behind me, as i did so, i was struck in the back of the head by the right skid of the snowmobile and it came to rest on top of me. they pulled it off, and i stood up, experiencing the same blurry, disoriented feeling i had in my dream. I stumbled home, i didn't have a concussion, but after sitting down, it immedietly came to me about my pre-cognative dream. to this day i still cannot understand why that happened, maybe a clue into what i was doing was on the right track? i'm unsure.

My brother had a regression done years back, he's two years younger than i, with two kids, now a 5 year old daughter, and a 4 year old son. It was realized in his regression, that he had died in a fire trying to save his then wife. which it turns out is now his daughter.

I do believe that family spirits are connected, although the physical mother/father/son/daughter aspect is not important, only that they continue what they sought to acheive together.

As was stated previously, My sister-in law, my brothers wife, according to her and her family, has the ability to connect with spirits....I'm not sure how exactly and to what extent, but from my experience with her tarot readings of me.....her predictions to questions i never revealed to her were amazingly accurate. She also says that according to the "spirits" or "spirit guides" that we are all "assigned", that time in the spirit world is minutes to our years. As would be only a few minutes in their world, would be 100 years here. She also says that the spirit world, while on another plane, is a few feet higher than our own exsistance, which is why ghostly encounters always appear to be floating, or without feet.

It is unexplicably strange that i am drawn to such a place, as i, in the back of my mind, have always felt a strange connection to medievil times, and a slight connection to the samauri of japan. Not neccessarily with combat, but just with the social aspects of it. I feel in the back of my emotions that i was someone important, not super high, but of greater importance than most in feudal times. I am not sure how to go about it, but i would like to know where to go to get such a regression done without getting scammed or "coerced"

I apologize for such a long post, but i would rather just spit it all out, and i hope to continue posting in such an interesting part of this forum. thanks.
