Ahh I love stories like this one. *sniff*

The youngest son of Florida Gov.Jeb Bush was arrested early Friday and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest, law enforcement officials said.

...

Noelle Bush, the governor's daughter, was arrested in January 2002 and accused of trying to pass a fraudulent prescription at a pharmacy to obtain the anti-anxiety drug Xanax. She completed a drug rehabilitation program in August 2003 and a judge dismissed the drug charges against her.

Yes but the result "his political career being ruined" (as you put it) is quite misfortunate.

Anyway. It happens

It may be just me, but does anyone else think that this ENTIRE FAMILY has a drinking problem?

It's called action/consequence. He pulled a stupid stunt, he pays, we laugh. It's natural!

Besides, this won't hurt his political career, if that's what he wants to do. Heck, look at Ted Kennedy, drunkard of the other political dynasty. Not only was he a drunk driver, but a lousy driver, a deadly date and a horrible body guard, yet you can't blow him out of the senate (or away from an all you can eat buffet or open bar) with 10 sticks of dynamite!

Heh I probably was wrong on the political career part. He could most likely get away with a lot more.

Its just one of those things that would be brought up come campaign times.

Whaaaa? A career breaker? Since when has a Bush who's been caught being under the influence, ever have to worry about their future career aspirations? What's he doing anyway, getting hammered 'an all, when he should be in Iraq fighting a Noble Cause? leftlee

That branch of the tree is comprised of drunks and drug addicts.

(And it happens to be my tree. I'm Dubya's 12th cousin once removed.

Sounds like Ted Kennedy's clan. Except in his case you
can add sex addicts to drunks and drug addicts.

Makes me Wonder Which President or Son of the Brother of the President of the US was not:

a.) alcohol addict
b.) a drug addict
c.) all of the above

But I don't think he has to worry about his Political career - he has the Correct surname - Bush - and despite both, drug and alcohol problems, the current Bush is still the President of the US. For the Second term!

Gotta love America!

I don't know why people keep electing and re-electing these dopeheads. I think anyone who runs for office should be of good moral character.

(*Note--I know Bush was Selected.)

Isn't it heartwarming to see that family traditions are still alive and well these days?
