Pope Bendict announces: Exorcists to hold national convention

snippet from article: VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Orthodontists have national conventions, as do lawyers and computer salespeople. So why not exorcists? At the end of his weekly general audience Wednesday Pope Benedict greeted Italian exorcists who, he disclosed, are currently holding their national convention.

I thought this was kind of interesting. i suppose it makes sense that they would hold conventions too. i wonder what it is they sit around and talk about....you know, aside from the obvious. i wish i could sit in on one of these conventions. it would be really facinating im sure.

any comments on this? or even better...has anyone ever been to an exorcism or a convention like this?

Old School Catholicism - excorsists are supposed to have
SECRET identities. No one except the bishop and those
higher up the chain are supposed to know which priests
are exorcists and which are not. It's a humility thing for
the exorcist because during the excorsism the evil spirit
can use ANY sin or weakness the priest has ... including
pride of being an excorcist. Not many priests are allowed
to be excorcists so it's a 'calling within a calling' so to say.

SO .. either this convention is more watered-down-Catholicism
from Vatican II (and detrimental to excorcists) or it's not where
the real (secret identity) excorcists go to get together.

Dunno' which.
