Well lets see.. lets start with the A's, since it is the first letter of all western alphabets.. and it is a great place to start.. cause in my mind.. A stands for Aleister... Aleister Crowley

The man who blessed this world with some fo the finest spiritual and esoteric writings.. his work is clear and concise and without alot of superstion and myth.

To that i recomend the following, 8 lectures on yoga, the liber LVIII (58), Magick in Theory and Practice, Magick without Tears, the Book of law, the book of lies, the book of liberty, Duty, and the book of Thoth

ok.. how about a woman's touch now, there is a book by a wonderfull lady who worked with Crowley for years before her passing and the founding of her "Society of the inner light". She was Dion Fortune, and she wrote "Mystical Qabalah" amung others, but that book should be more then enough to get you started with her.

Moving on, one of my favorite authors was one of Crowleys own student, Dr. Isreal Regardie, who at great personal risk broke from the tradition of secrecy to give the world "The Golden Dawn" (The Golden Dawn is the esoteric society that Crowley had been the front man of for many years).
He also wrote "The Tree of Life" and many other books, but these two are his big works.

i suppose that will get you started.. most of Crowleys work is public domain and you can get them for free on PDF form if you look for them, and maybe the other titles if you look hard.

I hope this helps you, i am always happy to share. if you have any other questions you may contact me directly through U2U

AND Thank you, to the Moderator who has blessed me with my THIRD offical applause, it seems that my thoughts, efforts and Honest attempts to contribute to the concepts and ideas brought to bare here have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated

I strongly recommend "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.

A very simple, well written, and yet profound book .

I don't like the idea of "teachers and apprentices" etc. I never had any sort of mentor or anything. I just had what I did on my own, and peers to discuss it with. As long as you aren't a complete idiot, I consider most people my equal. I remember what it was like to have no answers, and hardly the slightest clue of where to look.

I have been researching, learning about, experimenting with, and trying to prove/disprove any paranormal/spiritual topic you can think of, for about the past.... well, almost 7 years now. Thousands of hours of hard searching through this stuff. So I personally feel I have a lot to share. Not to brag or anything, but I can probably be a lot of help to some people who are just starting. I may be able to offer assistance and answers that took me a lot more time to figure out, instead of having to learn the "school of hard knocks" way like I did (Although I still advocate experiencing it yourself as the best way to learn).

So basically... I have a lot to say, but I don't like the whole "teacher/mentor" blahblahblah idea. I don't like the idea of blindly following and listening to every idea that someone you looks up to says. Trust me, if you devote yourself entirely to following a single person and their beliefs alone, you will most likely end up despising them and regretting it. So.... don't want to be a teacher, but I am always looking for peers/friends/scholars/colleagues who are like-minded and investigating the same sorts of things.

The first thing out of the mouthes of people who are seeking teachers seems to start with "Tell me everything you know about...." And it's just like... gah! That's way too broad to even begin explaining. lol.

So yeah... if you have questions about or want to discuss anything paranormal, send me a U2U or something and we can start talking. But if you're looking for "big answers", it tends to get fairly deep and philosophical.
