The leaders of India and Pakistan have reaffirmed their commitment to 'peaceful settlement' of all issues, after meeting at the UN World Summit. Indian PM Manmohan Singh and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf also agreed not to allow acts of terrorism to impede the peace process.

Mr Singh accepted an invitation from the Pakistani leader to visit Pakistan.

"They expressed their commitment to ensure a peaceful settlement of all pending issues including Jammu and Kashmir to the satisfaction of both sides," according to a brief statement issued after the talks.

India and Pakistan began peace talks last year. India also opened talks with Kashmiri separatist leaders this month.

Im so glad to see peace continuing between these two nations.

Just a few years ago it looked as though nuclear war could break out at a moments notice, now they are nations at peace with each other, and the peace looks as though it could last!
