In December 1965, Gemini astronauts James Lovell and Frank Borman also saw a UFO during their second orbit of their record-breaking 14 day flight. Borman reported that he saw an unidentified spacecraft some distance from their capsule. Gemini Control, at Cape Kennedy told him that he was seeing the final stage of their own Titan booster rocket. Borman confirmed that he could see the booster rocket all right, but that he could also see something completely different.



Donald Slayton "I was testing a P-51 fighter in Minneapolis when I spotted this object. I was at about 10,000 feet on a nice, bright, sunny afternoon.
I thought the object was a kite, then I realized that no kite is gonna fly that high." As I got closer it looked like a weather balloon, gray and about three feet in diameter. But as soon as I got behind the darn thing it didn't look like a balloon anymore. It looked like a saucer, a disk.
About the same time, I realized that it was suddenly going away from me -- and there I was, running at about 300 miles per hour. I tracked it for a little way, and then all of a sudden the damn thing just took off.
It pulled about a 45 degree climbing turn and accelerated and just flat disappeared."

Major Robert White On July 17, 1962 Major Robert White reported a UFO during his fifty-eight-mile high flight of an X-15. Major White reported:
"I have no idea what it could be. It was grayish in color and about thirty to forty feet away."
Then according to a Time Magazine article, Major White exclaimed over the radio:
"There ARE things out there! There absolutely is!"


Pilot Joseph A.Walker On May 11, 1962 NASA pilot Joseph Walker said that one of his tasks was to detect UFOs during his X-15 flights.
He had filmed five or six UFOs during his record breaking fifty-mile-high flight in April, 1962. It was the second time he had filmed UFOs in flight.
During a lecture at the Second National Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Space Research in Seattle, Washington, he said:
"I don't feel like speculating about them. All I know is what appeared on the film which was developed after the flight."


Edgar Mitchell "in our briefing of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Intelligence Group, it became very clear to us that they were naive. They did not really know any more about this effort than we do, if as much. That is because, as Bob Dean pointed out earlier, most of the people in government were not in government when I retired twenty five years ago, they are younger people. The files going back fifty years just no longer exist. They've either been purged, compromised or whatever. They don't exist. So when we blame government for not being forthright, they really don't have anything to be forthright about, at least at that level. Now, somewhere there's knowledgeable people, the question often comes up as to how they could have kept this a secret for so long. And friends they haven't. It's been around us all the time, but it has been denied, and obscured. The prevalence in the modern era of so many events - the sightings, the continual mutilation events, the so-called abduction events I find that quite alarming. With regard to the technology itself, I work with folks who do know what is in our technological data base and what is available to modern armies. The so-called ET technology, the ability to have silent engines and flying machines that make no sound, flying machines that have the characteristics that are consistent with reproduction of UFO sightings, are not in any nations arsenal, but they do exist. So if there are back engineered technologies existing, they are probably in the hands of this group of individuals, formerly government, formerly perhaps intelligence, formerly,under private sector control with some sort of oversight by military or by government. But this (oversight) is likely no longer the case as a result of this access denied category that is now operating. I call it a clandestine group. The technology is not in our military arsenals anywhere in the world, but it does exist, and to me that's quite disconcerting."



Eugene Cernan was commander of Apollo 17.
In a Los Angeles Times article in 1973 he said, about UFOs:
"I've been asked (about UFOs) and I've said publicly I thought they (UFOs) were somebody else, some other civilization."


Pilot Walter Schirra
Mercury 8 was the first of the astronauts to use the code name 'Santa Claus' to indicate the presence of flying saucers next to space capsules. However, his announcements were barely noticed by the general public."

Pete Conrad and Richard Gordon
On 12 September 1966, Gemini astronauts, Richard Gordon and Charles Conrad reported to Mission Control that their craft was being observed by a UFO estimated at being about six miles away.

In 1979 Maurice Chatelain, former chief of NASA Communications Systems confirmed that Armstrong had indeed reported seeing two UFOs on the rim of a crater.

There is alot more info on this subject .I think all of the astronauts should get together as a group and demand the government to step up to the table and admit the truth.

This is a pretty interesting topic you have here, although I've already seen most of the astronaut sightings various times in the past, both here in ATS, Rense, and UFOcasebook, I can say that it still amazes me that this amount of information and footage don't outstand the normal world as to realize that we're not alone ... infact, I'm amazed that the amount of the MANY accounts, footage, and information doesn't change the thought of the main public in the outside world. I guess maybe in time, when we go into space ourselves ... we can see what is really going on with our own eyes. Great find, nice pictures.

It does not surprise me that these pictures exit, after all there are a lot of ufo pictures from space, but they shouldn't always be seen as true, as they aren't guaranteed to be real, and could be hoaxed.

The pictures are very good though, I am impressed, although one or two look like they could be models on a black background.

It could tie in with the conspiracy that when Neil armstrong asked what they were, he was told that they were american saucers and he was being used as a publicity tool.
