what do you call it when the tv turns fuzzy???

my girlfriend and i are having a little debate on what people call the act of the tv turning fuzzy and black and white and etc...

i call it static...

she calls it snow...

so, what do you call it???

it does look like its snowing in the tv but it is really static and it makes that wierd noise...

Sometimes;
The guy that tells me to kill
The persona living in my left hand
The pollar bear killign the monkey
The super fast ant vs. the super fast white thingy (they are all over the screen)
