Well isn't this just PEACHY to wake up to?! The irony of it all is NOT lost upon THIS poster...

Al Qaeda is working on plans to hijack airliners flying between international points that pass near or over the continental U.S., a Department of Homeland Security advisory warns.
www.cnn.com...

Makes one wonder how many MORE Civil Liberties we lost overnight...

Springer here is another link that gives a tad more information.

www.hagmannpi.com...

I think cyber attacks in conjunction with bombing will be worse that 9/11. Can you imagine this scenario:
Coordinated bombing attacks and then taking down the Fire department, police department, emergency centers and the like computer and communication centers? In Frankfurt yesterday they lost 100,000 cell phone connections, it was blamed on buggy software. I dont know if I am just being hyper sensitive but there have been to many computer viruses and the like lately.

I found this article to be a bit behind the curve:

www.cnn.com...

Declaring the obvious? I still think that power and communications are going to play a large part in the next attack. I know I harp on this, but I still think the outbreak of computer viruses was the laying of the foundation. I hope I am wrong, but I shudder at the mere thought of what damage a cyber attack could produce.

It was so dandy how the power outages and the comp viruses were going on at the same time. We then hear that London is preparing for a terroist attack. Then we get 'news' about an asteroid that won't hit us in 2014...

Bah!

If they are targeting international flights, keep your eyes on qantas airlines.

Dumb question, are flights from Canada or Mexico considered International flights?

The airline I work for considers them both international because of international taxes. But really...the are domestic...

I think it'd be pretty easy for a terrorist to get into the US via Mexico. How many people hop the Mexico border everyday?

I was following a series of net news, that told how almost the entire red chinese army had infiltrated across the Mexican border, just waiting for the word of their reptillian lords to destroy the US.

But seriously, both borders are full of holes and thats not even taking into account our shore lines. I mean if a 1952 Chevy pick-up with pontoons almost made it, what could a non-registered ship do?. I sure hope we can wipe the sweat from our brow on the 12th of Sep and say glad nothing happened.

Actually I have noticed a lag in the government interfearing with my civil liberties over the last few years. Not since the 90s and the over-taxing gun control mania, in fact. The only liberties I see our government infringing upon are those of the little groups who have been allowed to sit and plan their little activities to take the lives of our fellow Americans. And to be honest with you, as one who has wondered and came to the point of down right demanding from my state representative that we shift focus to these militant Islam extremist and leave the good old boy's 30-06 alone. 9-11 came and made any further action too little, too late. So, if they don't feel they have their full liberties to plot and plan anymore, my heart breaks for the little b*stards. Thats the way it is and hopefully thats the way it'll stay. I hope they can't lay down and sleep at night wondering if that noise they just heard was the Feds and they are about to be caught with that bomb they just built in the basement. 9-11 was a direct result of the rights of these kinds of people run a-muck while the FBI, ATF worried about who had a deer rifle that they didn't know about.

Well now,,if the populations weren't terrorised I suppose these 'terrorists' would be failing right?.
Where is the so called "terror" coming from?,the terrorists,or those who keep warning you that the terrorists may be planning some sort of shenanigans of this type or that?.
This may be hard for most to swallow, but there are no such thing as "terrorists" unless they succeed in "terrorizing "you and me,so if you look at it for what it is,you see the terror really comes from somewhere other than you are led to believe.
It comes from the media.
9/11 was on the tube for at least 3 weeks after it happened, why was that????.
Can you say "Brainwashing????"
KILL YOUR TV,live your life.
It Is All Quite Meaningless.Unless of course you think it is real.......

I just read that and was on my way to share the CNN story but Springer beat me to it.
I am just nodding my head saying "yup yup" since the government has done a fine job desensitizing me to the "threat of imminent danger!" The anniversary of 9/11 is coming up and I think the gov just wants us to be so scared we go shop, so as to not let the terrorists win.
There is NOTHING we can do but keep our wits about us.

I am fearful, however, that my wife is flying to Baltimore on Sunday and flying back on the 10th. That does make me a bit queasy.
But again... nothing we can do.

There is a reason for everything that happens in this world, sometimes you can't see it at first.
You have no real control over your life, everything could be taken in an instant,no matter how much you prepare.
Be at peace and try to find the good in all things.
Be sure your wife knows you love her before she leaves,it is all you can do aside from postponing the trip....
Peace..

Well, which is it? You're pissed because there wasn't enough warning and now you're pissed because there is too many warnings. My guess is you're just a person who stays pissed reguardless. Oh and BTW, in case no one else wants to risk being un-PC, and it seems thats my forte', let me just tell you that the terror comes from militant islamic extremist who, by their own admission/proclaimation/running through the streets screaming it or whatever have vowed to kill everyone who isn't them. Yeah, our liberal media sucks and gives us constant mis-information skewed to keep us scared of actually admitting what our problem is for fear more of being labled offensive than of the actual violence.

When our government bull-dozes over actual Americans rights (such as gun control) the media glamorizes it as law enforcement but let them go after these guys plotting to murder thousands and its infringments of rights.

...because everyone seems to believe that this stuff is real.

None of it means anything to anyone besides those who are using the terrorist reports/attacks,to spook all the naive little sheoples into allowing their governments to trample on their rights out of fear of an "ism".

Switzerland seems to be the only country that adapted to the rest of the world in a healthy way without enfringing on the citizenry's rights.

The terrorist stuff worked great to steal the rights of the rest of europe, now it is being used in the US for the same purpose.

America used to be separatist,it should go back that way.

And yeah, next comes the liberal stuff, liberals are just as responsible for this mess as any other party, since they can't play unless they play by the same rules as everyone else.
