I've heard it said that the UFO issue was the reason Kennedy was assassinated. He was going to 'come out' and explain it all.

I doubt that would have been the only reason... JFK ticked off a lot of people in shadow government... There were many reasons JFK could have been offed, and it could be a combination of any of them.

Many UFOlogists do feel that JFK was the last president to be formerly briefed on the subject, and that the result of that briefing was the decision by the powers that be to no longer brief the president. The evidence for it is pretty scant, but it's still a commonly held belief.

3 days before JFK was assassinated, he wrote a memo to the CIA asking to be given information on the most sensitive UFO cases so he could share them with Russia. JFK didn't like the CIA, adn the CIA didn't like JFK asking for top secret UFO information. I truly believe this is the reason JFK was assassinated.

When he said Cheney would know, he wasn't kidding

Hilarious Picture Magneto!

My guess is that Georgyporgy is so numbminded, that even if he wanted to see for himself what the truth behind aliens are, he wouldn't have the creative mind to know where to look for it. All he would do, was to ask Cheney. And do you ever think Cheney would tell G.B.jr? Nevvah!

when the president gets an above top secret clearance

There is no such thing as an "above top secret" clearance. "Top Secret" is the highest clearance there is. All data that is classified as "Top Secret" is further restricted by compartments with no single compartment being "above" or "below" another. Some compartments may have abnormaly strict requirements beyond "need to know" to gain access, but that doesn't make them "higher" than another one.

Don't need to. Pre President Bush said he would disclose the truth about ÚFOs'.

Then when he was asked after being elected, or slightly later, Cheney was with him at the time when AP asked him again and mentioned his pre election promise to the press re UFOs - realism?, and President Bush said and pointed at Cheney -- ask him.

When the truth has the potential to degrade the ideological complacency of thousands of years of accepted beliefs within a social order, and literally turn the beliefs of the entire populas of a planet around, no matter how "open minded" they may percieve themselves, perhaps secrecy is necessary when the alternative is so unkown, as there is nothing to compare it to.

Just a thought.

Bill Clinton used to talk about UFOs, but not really on disclosure or anything like that.
I remember watching some program on the History channel that mentioned Clinton/The President of the U.S. didn't have the clearence to access documents on UFOs and such.
Clinton Alien Talk.

Some people believe the government actually will use aliens as a "threat" to humanity by starting some fake war or something. Sounds scary. Maybe they're warming us up for it?

they planned on doing this in the 1950's, hence the movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still". A prepatory film of sorts to get people ready for forced labor socialism. There have been a few more they've used since then to keep the threat alive, such as Contact, ET (get the kids ready) and Signs. seems like Close Encounters was heading in that direction but got sidetracked.

Or maybe...just maybe...you're in need of a thicker tin foil helmet?
I can hardly believe people in the UFO community waste their time passing this kind of silliness along to others. M. Night Shyamalan: Secret Agent?
Did he get a badge that says that?

C'mon people...this is pure speculation...NOT declaration. These films are nothing more than sci-fi entertainment.

c'mon man

just think about it for a minute !

do you ACTUALLY think, they could have come up with a detailed plan to off jfk in just 3 days ?

I agree with gazrok . there were multiple reasons , the main one being, he wasn't gonna play ball with the NWO / shadow gov't . he wanted our country back, so did mccarthy.

well , mccarthy got smeared and jfk got creamed and we never got our country back.

jfk was the last decent guy we had. ever since we've had handpicked whores and goons . too bad most folks haven't figgerd it out.

It is my humble opinion that no "elected" official will ever be privy to the real knowledge possed by the government.
( I edited this to say that, in my belief, the elected government is in noway the actual ones that govern.)
They are transient participants in a global political drama, who's real purpose is misdirection and misinformation.
The real truth is guarded by those that do not move on a bi-quad-or sextannual basis.
There may be some of that ilk that also know. But if that is the case, it is because they are firmly intrenched and are not likely to be voted out of office.
Gerald Ford is a very good example of this. If one follows the career of Gerald Ford, one finds that he has been personally and deeply involved in many of the most highly classified and top secret projects and investigations in several decades. Either through oversight or actual participation. Ie., Warren Commission, the second congressional hearing on JFK's assasination, Project Bluebook the list goes on.
I've often wondered why noone seems to see this rather behind the scenes, kind of guy for any clarification.
He seems to be one of the only living men that would be able to shed some real light on many of the issues this board involves itself in. He was there.
Just a thought.

Hear yah. Podesta (former Whitehouse Chief of Staff (under Clinton)) came on after Clinton's retirement. Specifically talking about the Kecksburg, PA incident. Seems the more we discuss this whole subject the less people come forward? But Podesta did.

THEY decide what the president gets to know...if anything

Its belived by many that President Truman knew everything and pretty much set up top-secret science commission to deal with UFOs.

As for recent Presidents knowing anything the best chance would be Bush Sr. IMHO since he was head of the CIA before he became President. So if any of the modern ones know anything I put money on him.

I think this thread needs some revival from the dead because this statement by George Bush in my mind proves the Government knows UFOs are real and that they have information they don't want to tell us. Everyone read my first post in this thread again. Not that it's unusual for politicians to not follow through on promises, but this is a good statement to show others who are skeptical about the government's knowledge of UFOs.

Hey Meshuggah, maybe now that Bush is in some deep, deep politcal trouble, he'll release information on UFOs to "revive" his politcal career. ......Ok, I don't believe it either.

I'm sure you saw that UFO Files episode on Presidents and the UFOs. They made it seem pretty clear that the people behind the UFO coverup are the same people that are in power right now (i.e Cheney and Rumsfeld). I think Bush I knew for sure, but I doubt they told Bush II very much. As soon as another president gets into office that the....military industrial complex, for lack of a better term, doesn't approve of they'll clam up and cut him off from all the information. After all he or she "doesn't need to know".

Yeah, that "need to know" is a S.O.B.
