While watching a program last night about Rick Rescorla (the security chief in charge of a famous company (JP Morgan) who saved practically his whole company) and I saw something which I reckon is odd.

Can anyone see the darker band around the towers about every third up?
What is that exactly?

Those are either the skylobbies or the mechanical rooms, or maybe both.

Each equipment room stored about 5000gallons of water and a diesel generator. 15000 Gallons of water was stored on the highest mechanical room.

I thought this would be about the plane in the sky?
No conspiracy aimed question here, but what type of plane is that?
Reminds me of these:

Is that normal for NY skyline?

Yeah, that's gotta be an AWAC.

AIRBORNE WARNING AND CONTROL SYSTEM (AWACS)

The E-3 AWACS is a commercial Boeing 707-320C airframe modified with an AN/APY-1 or AN/APY-2 radar. It is also equipped with general and specialized mission computers, multi-purpose displays, and clear and secure multiple-voice and data link communications. The United States has a total of 33 E-3s, assigned to Pacific Air Forces and Air Combat Command.

They always did look silly with that giant M&M on the top.
