Hey ! France is no longer a socialist country.
Our actual governement is right wing and even hard right wing...
Socialism dont mean unamerican ! Socialism come from the word social, meaning, taking care of the problems of the society. But our actual government,
liberal not socialist, dont take care of ederly people in a need of help. They cuts help to the older and credits to the public hospitals and now the
damage is done...
this time, it's not socialism who is the murderer, it's just ignorance and an unfair politic...

Read the article....though slanted, it is really saying that a socialist attitude, is what's to blame. Some good points are actually raised. Also,
if I'm not mistaken, medicine IS socialized in France, and the victims were largely in hospitals...therefore, the claim isn't as incorrect as it
might first appear...

Great article, mika. I think this was my favorite paragraph.
"Europe has given the world Marxism, Communism, Fascism, Nazism, racism, and socialism, all rotten ideas that have caused immeasurable human
suffering. But for Europeans and their ideological twins on the American left and at universities, ideas are not judged by their ability to ameliorate
huiman suffering or reduce evil, but by their complexity and apparent profundity. An idea is not good because it produces good – that’s unromantic
American pragmatism – it is good because it sounds good."
Nans, maybe for a couple hundred grand, you all could get our former president to come over and say "I feel your pain". Thats always seem to just
solve everything over here..or it did in the 90s when we lived on borrowed time in a false economy watching our government disarm us while our enemies
plotted our demise.

Socialism, like predatory unchecked capitalism, are doomed to die by crushing beneath the enormous weight both systems generate. Socialism is bad. So
is American predatory capitalism.
By the way, Europe did not give us racism, thats something univeral in humanity. Even blacks in Africa, are racist and if you wanna see really bad
racism, go to Asia.
Europe also gave us Capitalism as well. America doidnt just spring out of thin air. Someone gave birth to us. And our ideals.

"Socialized hospital" in France simply mean that there is a social security system, paid by the communauty, the french people. This system is made
to make cheaper and easier access to hospital and medecine, even if you have no money.
But since a right wing governement passed, they cut the funds and subventions to the french public hospitals.
Last summer, we saw the consequences of this kind of politic because peoples who died were the poorer, of course.

Does anyone do it though?,look at the communist manifesto, see how many of the planks have been fulfilled by the government of the US,see that the US
is turning socialist.
Realise that a democracy is not what the US is supposed to be,come to the realisation that democracy is just an embroyonic form of
socialism/communism.
Wake up!!!.

You've further illustrated the point...
Because they don't have to worry about improving care, in order to compete, (i.e. socially subsidized) the overall standard of care will be far less
than a non-socialized medical system..... Do you honestly think that the poor are refused treatment for life-threatening illnesses/injuries in the
US? No, that isn't the case...(though they aren't taken care of near as well...they certainly won't be left to die of heat stroke in their
beds...)
