I bought the newspaper this morning and i decided to go for the Sunday Express. I found this article on page 12 if you want to find it. i'm gonna quote bits and bobs form the article so if you wanna read it all you're gonna have to buy it.

"Al Qaeda is sending Iraqi insurgents to mount fresh attacks on major European cities that will be "more devistating" than those of 9/11"

"... Abu Mussib Al Zarqawi, the leader of the AL Qaeda insurgency in Iraq, has ordered battle-hardened terrorists to leave the war-torn country and travel to Europe to mount attacks on western civilians"

"... The men, eho have recieved training in weapons and bomb making skills, have been ordered to prepare for mass-casualty strikes in western Europe"

"... to organise an attack on Europe more devisating than that of September 11, 2001"

I miss a chunk here

" MI5 anti-terrorism experts are convinced there is a secret library of videos of suicide bombers waiting to strike against this country (me, Britain)
They say the tape of London Suicide Bomber Mohammad Sidique Khan resmebles ones made by English Muslims who blew up a Tel Aviv nightclub in 2003. All three were filmed against the same wall, and wore similar headbands. An MI5 source said: "There are probably a number of vides hidden away. Each time a bomber strikes, his tape will be trundled out." "

If you want to read the whole article buy the newspaper.!!! Sunday Express

Oh, please, no disrespect to you personally, but this is their way to put fear into the population...

No doubt countries cannot go around invading other countries without some sort of RETRIBUTION. It will happen. BUT when it does, it will not be advertised. What is it the bible says: I will come like a thief in the night?
I beleive that applies to terrorists as well.

Live, love, drink and be merry for now. My advise to you

Humm... I don't doubt their planning for an attack, but what can you do? Just go on living as usual and let the men in black try to take car of it.

When ever i hear Al-Zarqawi is organising an event, i can't help but think of the intelligence community actually being the maestro.

I expect something to happen in Europe and especially the asia/pacific. The 'coalition' needs some serious input if the US are going to get any troops out of Iraq, into another war or even back to the US to clean up the mess there (especially if more bad weather comes Americas way).

Think of Al-Zarqawi's statements as recruiting by the CIA/Mossadd because that's what they are. Most people, especially in Iraq, don't believe he exists yet he's always doing what helps America ultimatley.

A major attack in Europe will only add more troops to America's coalition, why would Al-Zarqawi do that if he's not working for them?

Remember, the CIA used to have a code name for Bin Laden - Tim Osman, so who is Al-Zarqawi when only the Pentagon promotes his existence?

I only thought it might interest you so that why i posted it. The thing about terrorism is that if we ignored it and weren't so "OH MY GOD!!! A TERROSRIST BOO HOO" then they would eventually give up. They do these attacks to get recognistion for their group(s). If terrorism wasn't so glourified by the media then half of the attacks in the past 20 years would never had happened

- Hmmm, I'd put the Express (and it's sunday variant) along with the Telegraph and Mail (and their sunday variants) as worthless and grossly politically biased sensationalist rags.

No credibility whatsoever.

I totally agree. They also are more concerned with families and the middle class, predominatly white people.

what always concerns me is why do intelligence agencies of any country make this public information?

What I mean is if the terrorist are actually planning on this and we know about it...........then wouldn't they just reschedule their efforts when we are least aware of it?

Why would a terrorist organization strike when the public could be the most vigulant about it?

The US 9/11 happened on a wonder perfect day in Sept out of the blue.........isn't that their best tactic??

Sometimes I wonder if it this intelligence is released for public print that if something does happen...........then they can say I told you so and use it for an excuse to retailiate.............

I mean what if we read in the papers on Dec. 5th 1941 that rumors of a Japanese task force is heading towards a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor??

Ok, selective quoting I admit, but read this line again.

"To prepare for mass-casualty strikes" - clearly as the article is about the threat from terrorism, the context places this statement as them making the mass-casualty strikes, but the semantics could equally imply that they are to prepare to receive mass-casualities ...

Maybe just a slip of the pen, and unintended consequence perhaps, but is this information, or disinformation, (or maybe just an over tired mind on my part) ?

Our Dutch papers were also full off it, we had an event called Sail 2005, a couple
of million people would visit our Capital Amsterdam to look at all the ships and
visit the city in general. Papers were screaming that entire Amsterdam would be
blown up (figurly speaking ofcourse) and that the terrorist said it would be a
living hell from the 15th of August till the 15th of September. So far nothing
happened, bit strange isn't it.......

True true, they also said they spreak their plans through broadcasts, so when
Bin Laden says he is going to bomb, for example, Amsterdam, he sends a tape
to Al Jazeera and all those terrorist bastards that are looking at the broadcast
and see their 'great leader' saying they will bomb it, they will prepare to join him.
They don't phone or e-mail other people about it, it's just announced via TV.

The Express is owned by a porn baron and exists to drum up fear in the population and promote 19th cenury values on society and quasi rascist attitudes.

Ignore it. Read the Independant or the Guardian

They did, and still did nothing. I can find you the article if you want.

I believe the title was "Japanese may strike Hawiia naval base" or something to that effect. You would think that they'd beef up defenses and keep people on alert if a strike was possible.
