Good one Toltec... There's one not far from where I live. It was featured on a tv show here... Incredible!!! They even have their own elementary school (which is not recognized by the government) and I know one person who sent her kids there.

This would cover a "broad" playing field would it not?
I can see many religions, sects, and beliefs being covered by this topic.

Thanks for the follow-up link. I will surely comment when I get a chance to analyze further. Right now, I need to get some sleep for another busy day of school, etc.

Thank you again Toltec.

Is this ATS????

2. Major time commitment required for indoctrination sessions and group rituals

Yup you must read the board every day and attend the chat room at least once a week

3. Need to ask permission for major decisions

Yep us mods are the ones you must ask permision for if you have questions about posts..

4. Need to report thoughts, feelings and activities to superiors

Well most posters here FEEL they need to do that.

5. Rewards and punishments (behavior modification techniques- positive and negative).

Yep, we got that as well, what do you think the point system is all about.

5. Individualism discouraged; group think prevails

Damn right, you got that Colnel?

6. Rigid rules and regulations

Yup, read 'em and weep...

7. Need for obedience and dependency

Too right, kick Josh's ass!

1. Use of deception

yeah yeah ... so they say

2. Access to non-cult sources of information minimized or discouraged

Don't believe CNN!!

3. Compartmentalization of information; Outsider vs. Insider doctrines

Just how many of you have seen what we talk about in Cosmic?

4. Spying on other members is encouraged

Dob in Josh Brantons nic for a 1000 points

5. Extensive use of cult generated information and propaganda

Have you seen the rest of the site???

6. Unethical use of confession
a. Information about "sins" used to abolish identity boundaries
b. Past "sins" used to manipulate and control; no forgiveness or absolution

Have you TBATS members repented YET?

1. Need to internalize the groups doctrine as "Truth"

We got it and we know it..

2. Adopt "loaded" language (characterized by "thought-terminating clichs"). Words are the tools we use to think with. These "special" words constrict rather than expand understanding.

Hey you commie spooks, liberal asswhipes, and letter club members we are gunning for you

5. No critical questions about leader, doctrine, or policy seen as legitimate

You got it, its written in stone..

7. Phobia indoctrination : programming of irrational fears of ever leaving the group or even questioning the leaders authority. The person under mind control cannot visualize a positive, fulfilled future without being in the group.

You can always check out, but you can never leave...
