NEWS: Iraq Police find 36 Dumped Bodies in River

The bodies of 36 people have been found dumped near the Iraqi town of Kut. The bodies each had a 9mm bullet to the head. Six of the men had metal handcuffs, the other 30 were wearing plastic handcuffs. According to police, they Iraqi bodies looked as if they had been killed 4 or 5 days ago. The men were between the ages of 25 - 35.
The men - aged between 25 and 35 - were found at Areda, some 50km (31 miles) west of Kut, a spokesman told the BBC.

They were partially clothed, had been handcuffed and all had been shot in the head in an execution style.

Violence has increased in Iraq amid growing uncertainty over the future of a new constitution. Talks on a new charter are to continue on Friday.

These violent incidents seem to be increasing. Earlier this month, 19 bodies were found handcuffed, gagged and some beheaded. According to this report the deaths are about the new Iraqi constitution and turmoil between Shi'ites and Suunis.
