Could this be implying that we will be having another "Rings" type game on our hands this fall? And if this was our "trial", and we bombed it... I wonder how well they expect us to do on it?

Only it started last fall! "sigh" and I spent sooo much time on it...

If you start at the beginning, there are a lot of links to related subjects, and it does make for lots of interesting reading....maybe some new guys with a 'fresh eye' might see something the rest of us overlooked.

( Bear in mind, however, we have never gotten any 'official' word from staff that this is actually a game......I've even directly asked some of the 'new council' people, only to be totally ignored. )

Good luck!

Here is a crude translation of the text on that page. I used a online translator; www.translation-guide.com...

unus (small link text)
- one, only one, at the same time, single, alone, unparalleled

Webpage:

una infinitas
- in one eternity

hic est tuum temptamen quod temptat tua potentia
- this is your trial and trial your might

viginti tres gradus ad summam potestatem
- twenty three to conduct one's self to the highest part power

I don't know what to make of it but it seems to be a riddle, like a clever puzzle.

I never got into BL because I thought because of lack of posting on it... that it had already been completed... Now I'm compelled to work on it. But I have absolutely no Idea what I'm doing. I'm sure once someone figures it out or something, we'll be smacking our foreheads going "DUH!".

Translation is:

una Infinitas= one infinity
Abominatio Nascitur Autumno= the horror begins in autumn
hic est tuum temptamen quod temptat tua potentia=this is your trial, now prove your (power, might, ability; efficacy, potency)
viginti tres gradus ad summam potestatem=Twenty three steps to total power

Maybe this "twenty three steps to total power" is some sort of hint!?!

Twenty three might be a number significant to the rings on the image somehow. (Degrees of something?)

I was thinking the 23 steps had something to do with the openings in the rings or something aslo... but I just can't see how. During the 3-Day weekend, aytime I get between finishing up my Nanotech paper and other things, I'll spend a little time on it.

I doubt it has any relevance but so far i've got this.

There are 22 rings (or 23) * if you count the centre with the image.

Eleven of the rings have two breaks (situated opposite eachother).

Eleven of them have one break (in what seems to be random positions).

(Sorry for stating the obvious, but i'm writing this as i'll probably forget as soon as I post this
)

The order of the breaks appear like so:

Ring:

1) 2 breaks

2) 1 break

3) 2 breaks

4) 1 break................................... and so on until you get to the centre.

The odd numbered rings have 2 breaks, even has 1.

I got excited and thought it might be a good idea to join the breaks up (in paint), even to even, odd to odd (to see if a picture or symbol would emerge).

Needless to say I didn't get anywhere.

Then I tried even to even and took note of the breaks in the rings that were covered over by joining the breaks.
I thought maybe the remaining breaks that weren't covered over might reveal something. Nope. Nada. ZIP!

Then I tried it with the odd breaks, still nothing.

Aaaargghh. this is getting to me :bnghd:

Anyone got any ideas yet?

Sorry for long post, just thought some info was better than none. Even if it useless.

*23 pops up again?

From outwards to inwards, there is: 2-breaks, 1-break, 2-breaks, 1-break, etc.
If you connect each set of 2-breaks and 1-break, you will get 11 square triangles...
If you count the numbers of letters in the words, you will get numbers 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10...
So, the 1 and the 5 are missing...
But 1 is the smaller circle inside the labyrinth...
And 5=2+3 from the 23...
And 23=11*2+1...

Square triangles???

I'm afraid you lost me on this one.

Do you have an image of the black labyrinth icon that you have edited?

If you do can you post it please as i'll probably understand what you mean if I see it.

Sorry, dipstick on the loose (me)

Square triangles are triangles that have a right (square) angle. They can be inscribed in a circle, one o their sides being the diameter and the opposite vertex lying somewhere on the circle.
I don't know if this has any significance. The vertices (the 1-breaks) don't seem to follow any obvious pattern.

Maybe if you arrange the breaks in a certain way... the breaks or lines will spell somethng out? I'll have to spend more time on it tomorrow night. If I do tonight, I will get no sleep for school.

Oh sorry I get what you mean now. That totally went over my head!

DarkHelmet, how can I manipulate the image to turn the rings?
I can't do that with just paint can I? Do I need different software?
(Probably dumb question
)

I'm no expert in manipulation.. but if you have Photoshop, I'm guessing that would be your best bet. You could always find someone who's not an ATSer to help you if they got Photoshop... then that way they won't know what your up to and steal your ideas and clues

If I copy the picture and show it to some people I know in another forum (for their help) will I be breaking the copyright on the image???

I don't want to get into any trouble if I will.

you don't necessarily have to post it on another forum. If you have just a regular friend... like a next door neighbor or something. Either way... I'm sure it would be ok as long as you noted where the image is from and what-not. Kinda like Works Cited in a research paper.

Ok. Thanks for the tip. I just mentioned a different forum as I know some people there that are familiar with graphics and photoshop (whereas I don't).

Thanks again.

You're welcome... I'm sure it's nothing to post it on another forum. Can't be any worse than posting a picture from CNN or some other site on here...
