What it looks like is working is to go to the site, make the sign, then save the sign, and then upload it, and then link in your post. I had just tried to 'hotlink' direct from the sign site. Apparently that has ill effects. but kinglizard, for example, probably did what I suggest (as indicated by the url of his pic).

The easiest way is to use a free hosting site like PhotoBucket.com

I'm assuming this doesn't breach any Terms and Conditions, and it seems to work fine.
