As a matter of fact at one point the attacks were getting so bad that all the US Gov networks (in Europe) stopped all incoming traffic from Italy. If it has an Italain subnet its stopped dead at the firewall.

I know for a fact that your information is inaccurate because I served a two and a half year tour over there in the U.S. Navy, and I lived off base (receiving BAH), and I had internet and phone connections. I had full internet access with no restrictions.
