TBILISI/ MOSCOW, August 21 (RIA Novosti, Mariya Kvaratskheliya) - An aircraft of unknown nationality violated the Georgian airspace Sunday at around 5:00 a.m. Moscow time (1:00 a.m. GMT).

According to the Georgian Defense Ministry, the plane advanced to the Kondori Gorge from adjacent Russian territory and circled over the Kvabchara village for half an hour.

Head of the Russian Air Forces' press service Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky said, "Neither yesterday nor today did Russian aircraft fly near the Russian-Georgian border."

The official added that flights had not been carried out in the south of Russia in the recent several weeks.

Similar incidents on Russia-Finland border...

With the exeption that FAF was able to identify the aircraft as Russian Airforce a/c

Seems like that Russian military is testing its neighbours at all fronts

The only country with big interes there is Russia. If the US needs to watch something there they'll probably use a satellite.
Russia fool nobody with such claims. I guess they have to play the cold war game with whatever country they can bother without getting into trouble.
