A draft constitution for Iraq to be presented to parliament on Monday will make Islam "a main source" for legislation and ban laws that contradict religious teachings, members of the parliamentary drafting panel said.

This doesn't sound like democracy in action. Seems that the US is involved in some way also...

Kurds had complained that U.S. diplomats, who have insisted that women and minorities should enjoy equal rights, had conceded ground to the Islamists in order to meet Monday's deadline for passing a draft constitution in the legislatu

Per usual. The Kurds and the ruling Shiite party seem to be in agreeance on most issues, but the Sunnis are up in arms. It seems the Shi'ite Islamists who dominate the interim government and parliament are planning to impose clerical rule remniscent of Shi'ite Iran. sounds like trouble.....

If this goes down and future Iraqi laws are based on Islamic law.....than we've lost this battle in our war against Islamic terror and its time to bring our boys home, because if the Iraqi leaders choose Islam......than they choose to be our enemy and its not worth ONE more American life to float these losers.

Im sure they will be in our gunsights soon enough when the Iraqi Shiites decide to launch their "Jihad" against us......Hell, I would not be surprised to see them team up with the Sunni's to drive out the "Infidels". Than they can go back to cutting each others throats.

They can all go to the Devil.

Iraq is an Islamic nation is going to take time for them to ease their believes that has been part of their culture and history for hundreds of years.

Right now the Kurds and Shiites may look like the agree with each other but that may only be just for show.

When the time comes for all these tribes to show force they will probably tear each other apart before agreeing with each others request.
