The Galaxy Song as sung by Monty Python member Eric Idle in Meaning to Life has been given a rather good critique. Well if you do remember the song or currently are listening to it, here is the critique of how Idle's knowledge of astronomy holds up. Quite interesting read.

If you have never heard the song or do not remember here it is for free download: www.emp3world.com...

Eric Idle, Monty Python player extraordinaire, wrote the Galaxy Song for the movie The Meaning of Life. I was quite curious to see how it has withstood 20 years of astronomical leaps in our understanding of the universe. My references can be found at www.softwarerepair.com...

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
While still controversial in some areas, evolution seems pretty well established.
