Oohh, hit a nerve, huh? Uh, actually, Cindy Sheehan is standing up for what she believes in, too.
If you do your bigot thing all blatant and childlike, you gotta expect some backlash that ain't gonna feel so nice.

Jesus was all about love and peace, just like the hippies. Peace, brother.

Not realy,
Theres a big difference in what sheenan is doing and what christ did, if you cant see that you are not worth the time.

Jesus gave his life for all of ours, until you coward hippies go to iraq and fight in place of those american heros, take a seat and go home.

Man...what is this thing with hippies...they're so...er...long gone!
I wonder what Jesus would have thought about Ms. Sheehan?

Let's hope there's all kinds of posts quoting biblical verses.

On second thought...maybe it's a bad idea.

What do you say to Iraqi veteran's who come back and protest the war? Did they earn the right to disagree with you?

Have you ever served?

Don't avoid my questions.

It's just not what Patton would do.

I think that the point of contention is that you believe it's fine to support the war, if you've never been there. Yet, it's only ok to oppose the war, once you've gone. That's a bit odd.

If you can't disagree with a war you've never experienced, then why is it ok to support a war you've never experienced?

Looks like the president sent a couple of 'officials' down to meet with Cindy, but she won't be appeased. I think Bush is probably getting really tired of holding out and thought perhaps this would shuffle her off on her way home. I don't think so...

The president, who is spending his summer holiday at the ranch, has expressed sympathy for her, but refuses to meet her. He did however send the national security adviser, Stephen Hadley, and the deputy White House chief of staff, Joe Hagin, to talk to her for 45 minutes.

Ms Sheehan was not impressed. "I think they thought I'd be very impressed and intimidated that these two high-level officials came to talk to this little grieving mother, and that I'd leave," she said.

I apologize for my part in the name calling. You see, I'm a hippie. I was a hippie then, I'm a hippie now and I shall forever be... a proud hippie.
We're not at all stupid.
