Are you sure about that price? Everything I see online is well over that. Where exactly are you from that you got it for such a modest price?

I do like how versatile it is, and how compact it is when folded in half. Would fit nicely in my bug out bag...

My current favorite is the LWRC M6A2 with 18" barrel.

M16 is "OK." But I'll take a short stroke self regulating piston system over a DI system any day.

When the LWRC SABR becomes available, I may have to retire my M6A2.

The best rifle is the the L85a2, in Australia last year their military tested loads of rifles like AK-101,AN-94,M4,HK416/7,M468,Steyr,G36 etc...

The most reliable rifle was L85a2, it fired 16,000 rounds in the desert with out a stoppage(M4 worst), it was also the 2nd most accurate rifle(Steyr 1st) and the hardest hitting 5.56 rifle(M4 worst).

The AN-94 and HK417 are also extremely good rifles that performed excellently in the desert conditions...

My personal favorite gun, is the semi auto Colt .45 .

but as for the worlds greatest gun, I would have to say the Hk.416 or maybe a throw back like the ak74.

Its really all about preference.

THe best gun in the world is the one you have practiced with until you can clear a stoppage while sprinting between cover. Saying anything else is just pointless posturing because while a Barrett will most definitelly end the useful life of anything up to light armored vehicles... you still gotta hump it around. Likewise there are too many factors of terrain, parts and ammo availabillity, price range, and the tasking you expect of the weapon to be more specific.

I can see how that would have a way of persuading someone that confrontation is not in their best interest altered... but god help you if you gotta reload lol.

Reaching into the tote bag for another 5 ounces of shot and powder could be a bit time consuming.

It appears 200 yds is about it.

30-30

I was going to go with that for my rifle til I read about ranges on
rifles, and accuracy. I decided to go 30-06 to get out past 1,000 yds.

I got a 6 x 16 mil dot illuminated scope via a watch battery,
it has a 5 rnd built in mag.

After talking to ppl I wish I had got a .308 so I could use 7.62mm NATO
rnds and mod it to take a clip.

The best deal would have been a remmington model 7615p .308
that will take 30 rnd clips, and it works pump action so it does not
count as semi-auto and can be used to hunt in any state unless
they have a magazine capacity law, but you can then just show
up with small cap. mags.

The 7615p looks to be a pretty adaptable gun, with fair long range.

For an all around gun you can get a 12ga shot gun with changeable
barrels one rifled for slugs, and the other not.

A shotgun with slugs will take down Kodiak or Moose, and you can switch
barrels and go to bird shot and still have bird left to eat.

The Barret .50BMG because it is a very powerful long range gun that can take down a helicopter. Walther P22 .22 LR it is very accurate, does not jam, you can add modular accessories like lasers and flashlights, and ammo is incredibly cheap. My Bowning BBR .270 win bolt action rilfle with 100-1000 yard scope with a soon to be added nightvision cap. It is very accurate at long distances well made stress tested parts.

Haven't read all of the responses, so I do not know if the Thompson/Center
Contender has been mentioned.

It is but a single shot pistol, but availability of different caliber barrels, makes it a very versatile firearm. Very accurate with the 14" barrel length, as well.
