Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that whenever the government decides to conduct "war on ....", then the thing that they war against only becomes a worse problem than it ever was?
War on Drugs? The drug trafficking problem got worse.
War on Terrorism? Haven't terrorist attacks actually *increased*?

Then, later on, maybe some years after the fact, we find out that some small group of individuals or a whole political faction within the government was actually supporting & profiting from the "war on whatever". IMO, it seems to be a pretty safe bet that the government wants to make some money somewhere, so they tell us that they're going to "war against ..." & wind up accomplishing the exact opposite of what they said.

Has anyone figured out how it works out like that?

war on homosexuality, war on interracial, war on non conformity, war on nonworkers(homeless) sounds pretty interesting where the bill of rights oh the fathers had children who followed their father, my bad.

I haven't seen a raise in 3 years, maybe a war on my paycheck would react the same way!!!


As for the Christian-fundies I've tried to start stirngs on this issue in the past but all were quickly shouted down and deleted by our resident fundies!!!

Seems free speech only applies if you're a ultra-rightwing-biblethumper!! I've called in the past for a true & real separation of church and state but this statement apparently no longer exists in our constitution, although I do remember reading this aloud as a youngster in elementary school.

The issue is easily rectified though, vote these fundies out and lets get a more moderate centrist in office!!

Perhaps a war on " wasting tax payers money" might get more votes - after all the porn internet business is actually a growth sector and they do seem to pay taxes - least in the mainstream.
